Dash is a cutting edge Lexical User Interface  or LUI.

But what is a LUI? 

Current operating systems work using a Graphical User Interface or GUI made up of icons, buttons, menus, etc. They work fine for certain tasks but are terrible for many others.

A Lexical User Interface is a way to control your computer by telling it what to do using text instead of clicking buttons and menus. But typing is not exactly fast by itself, so what sets Dash appart is that it will know what you want to do before you finish typing. It’s as if your computer had a universal autocomplete for all the tasks you want to perform.
