Thank you for the explanation.

I was thinking about all the shortcuts I use to point to websites and online applications, online dictionnaries etc... As well as the applications and files that are on my USB drive.
I use almost exclusively these.

I suppose I could copy the keywords file for the web-related keywords (is it possible to make a separate file for these???)...
But since the USB drive letter differs depending on the computers it may be more difficult...

I know you may release a USB version of Dash some day, but in the meantime, having a "portable keywords" feature would help I think.

Best regards.

I assume that by synching you mean that you want your created keywords to appear in all systems.

Of course you can't synch the scanned keywords because the different machines will have different files and folder structures, and even different applications installed.

There is no automatic procedure for synchronizing your keywords but you may be able to just copy the myKeywords.kw file from one computer to the other. The problem with this approach is that you will be overwriting the keywords on the machine you are copying to, so if you had created some keywords in that machine that were not in the file you are just copying, they will be lost.

A possible strategy is to make a copy of the mykeywords.kw file and name it something like mykeywords-PC1.kw. That way when you copy it over it will not overwrite the original.

If Dash is already running when you copy the file you will need to type "Keyword List Reset" to have Dash read the new file.

Note. To find the mykeywords.kw file type Dash Data to get to the Dash Data folder.
