Perhaps i am doing something incorrect but i am tryin to figure out this keyword and why it isnt adding the name of my notes to the DashNotes.kw file. Here is the Expected class entry:

kcNone,kcLoadKeyFile:DashNotes.kw,kcNoteName,kcTextNote|kcNone,kcTextNote

What i understand from this is that after selecting Dash Notes any keywords from DashNotes.kw should be able to be searched/selected.

(On a side note if nothing is entered it should it say "Enter Name of Note" from the friendly name in kcNoteName or "Enter Note's Text" from kcTextNote? Is there a precedence from left to right?)

More importantly my questions is if i select Dash Notes then type "MyNote" hit tab and type "Test note" this creates a note called MyNote with an entry called Test note. However if i select Dash Notes again shouldnt i be able to start typing "MyN..." and MyNote should come up? This way i could just hit tab and enter in a new entry to be appended to MyNote. I find it hard to remember what my notes are called and if i mispell it it rightly creates a new note.

The system is setup so that it will ask for activation when it cannot find the activation in the registry or when it thinks the machine changed enough. Currently it looks for Windows ID, MAC ID, HD serials, Bios info and CPU info.

I can look at the codes you have activated and see if anything is reported as having changed.

I have not changed username or computer names. On the desktop I believe that I did reactivate dash for the admin acct. I remember asking about this once before and was told that as long as it was the same machine that reactiavting did not eat another license. Still, that doesn't explain why I would lose the activation on 2 machines with only one non-admin user on each.

I am now wondering if I had been running in trial mode on each machine since the last upgrade. It seems odd that I would lose activation on 2 machines around the same time. The desktop I turned on for the first time in weeks due to moving. I am now guessing that it would have asked for activation around the same time as the laptop did. I believe that I read in another thread that this build has a problem with activation?? Would that have eaten some of my licenses?

Hi,

I have sent in your information. You should have received a support ticket report right away. But I will check on that immediately.

As to the reason why you are losing the activation, are you using different users (regular/admin)? What OS is this? Does it only happen when you are not on the internet?

Dash should not deactivate without an internet connection.

Last week I reported that I lost my activation on my laptop and was told to open a support ticket. That was a week ago and I never got a response. Ticket # 720006.

Today, I opened my desktop and now Dash reports that it is not activated on my that computer either. What is going on here??? That computer is not presently connected to the internet due to a recent move. Does Dash need to phone home every time on startup? I'm afraid I will not be able to reactivate once I get internet service because I lost an activation when the laptop lost it's activation.

Why do I keep losing my activation? Why don't I get a response when I submit a support ticket. I only have Dash installed on one laptop and one desktop. I've paid for this and I'd really like to be able to continue using it without jumping through hoops. If Dash deactivates itself if it doesn't have an internet connection, then that is a problem for me also.

First of all, great product guys. Looks really neat.

I know it's very specific issue, but issue nonetheless. I'm working on the project that utilizes CodePress (http://www.codepress.org/). I installed Dash and tried to paste some text into the CodePress area, the text doesn't appear. I can use right mouse click and then "Paste" and it pastes the text, but syntax highlight on pasted text does not work. You can check this by going to CodePress site, they have examples of CodePress areas on their home page. Try to paste any text within those areas.

I have Win XP and I'm running IE6. Doesn't have IE7 to check. I don't think that issue is CodePress script specific. But the whole idea behind CodePress is running browser in so called "design mode" and I think that's where issue is. I'm not sure how many products/websites are actually using this mode, but some are and it is critical for our company.
